Also known as hydrolates, hydrosols, floral waters but, hydrosols doesn’t come just from flowers; they may come from roots, leaves, berries, bark, wood and needles.

Hydrosol is left over after the process of extracting an essential oil by water or steam distillation. Hydrosol contains small quantities of essential oil plus active principles. They are pure, free from alcohols, preservatives and emulsifying agents.

Directions:

The standard dilution rate for the internal use of hydrolates: 30 milimiters (2 tablespoons) of hydrosol diluted in 1 liter of water.

They can be used undiluted without problems for most topical applications.

Storage:

Get them to cool storage as fast as possible. Keep them away from light and heat.
